Tregongeeves Farm Cottages aim to maintain a balance between the community in which we live in and providing guests with quality accommodation.  Our aim is to ensure long term sustainability and act responsibly to the environment we live in.

Over the past 6 months we feel we have made several changes to the holiday cottages and in the  way in which we work as a team.  We do hope you thoroughly enjoy your holiday with us and make a few small changes to help us keep our commitment to the environment.

Some of the key areas we have invested in:

• Installed water butts, one in the cottage courtyard and one by the farmhouse
• Changing all light bulbs wherever possible to energy efficient
• Changed to recycled toilet paper and kitchen roll, changed as many cleaning products as possible to chlorine free
• Promote local events, walking, cycling and car free days as much possible
• Supplied each cottage with a compost caddy
• We are now able to recycle paper, cardboard, plastic, cans and glass
• Items in the welcome packs are sourced locally and we use our local shop as much as possible.  The delivery of the daily newspaper and promoting guest to have a box of groceries delivered for their arrival
• Changed our booking system allowing receipts to be emailed rather than posted
• Free bikes made available for guest's use

As guests at Tregongeeves we would ask for your support in a few key areas

• Use water sparingly
• Switch all lights off when not required
• Manage the central heating system responsibly
• Recycle as much as you can
• Use the compost caddy
• Eat, buy as use as many local facilities as possible we have plenty of ideas and local knowledge as we are a Cornish family !
• Leave the car behind for at least one day of your weeks stay
