Gardens

Cornwall is spoiled when it comes to gardens to visit, with over 70 on offer throughout the county.

Some gardens close to Tregongeeves include:

  • Heligan - the largest garden restoration in Europe with a Jungle Garden, Pineapple Pit and Walled Kitchen Gardens. Excellent in Spring with Rhododendrons and Camellias.
  • Pine Lodge Gardens at St Austell - A privately owned 30 acre garden, Arboretum, Japanese Garden and lake with black swans.
  • Trewithen Gardens - renowned for its collection of Rhododendrons and Camellias.

Places to Eat

  • Polgooth Inn - our local pub within walking distance of the cottages offers family room, restaurant and log fires in Winter.
  • Ship Inn at Pentewan – leave the car behind and cycle along the valley trail to this village pub.
  • The School House at Pentewan - Fresh fish and local ingredients dominate this hugely popular local restaurant
  • The Salamander at Mevagissey

How to Find Us...

Tregongeeves Farm is located in Polgooth, just outside St Austell on the South Coast of Cornwall.

Take the A390 from St Austell towards Truro, continue for approx one and a half miles. As you proceed down a long sweeping hill take the first left turning into Tregongeeves Lane (signposted 'golf course') and the cottages are 200 yards on the right.
